The artwork was created by the American sculptor and installation artist Alice Aycock (* 1946 in Harrisburg, USA). "Another Twister" was a commissioned work for the Sprengel Museum Hannover. The artwork was initiated and paid for by the Hannover Re Foundation, which provides the museum with the sculpture on permanent loan. The "Twister" is six meters high and weighs around two tons.
